Jax Fl, Ghostbusters Spectral Classification system.
The Jax Fl, Ghostbusters has created a Unique system for the classification of ghosts and paranormal activity. Listed below you'll find The Jax Fl, Ghostbusters Spectral Classification system. CLASS I - Is defined as, an undeveloped form, insubstantial and difficult to see. The Class I's interaction with the physical environment is limited and enigmatic (i.e. spectral lights, voices, sounds).
CLASS II - Is defined as, a ghost that begins to have actual visible characteristics and can physically manipulate things (i.e. poltergeist). Class II forms tend to be vague and inconsistent, like hands or a face just floating there.
CLASS III - When a ghost begins to take an actual distinct human form (i.e. face, torso, arms) it's classified as a Class III. III's can often change their forms as well.
CLASS IV - When an investigation reveals the former identity of a Class III ghost, it is reclassified as a Class IV. Usually indistinct from the chest down.
CLASS V- An ectoplasmic manifestation of definite but non-human form. Theory supposes that Class V's are formed from the electro-magnetic energy allegedly used to manifest.
CLASS VI - A non-human "animal" ghost.
CLASS VII- A Demon with extra-dimensional powers far beyond human ken. Powers often include the ability to change form at will, dematerialize objects, summon pests, or possess people and animals just to name a few.

"Traditional Ghost Hunting" Equipment
Believe it or not, most of the tools used by Paranormal investigators of the past are still being used today.

The Jax Ghostbuster's Equipment Guide
BASIC ITEMS Here are some things that we are never without while conducting an investigation. You never know when they might be needed and many will compliment other items that we will soon discuss. Here are some of the basic items:
1. Notebook and pen (recording notes)
2. Extra Batteries
3. Flashlight
4. Measuring tape
5. Extra film and recording tapes
6. Small tool kit
7. Camera
8. Compass (see below)
9. Motion Detectors (infrared sensors)
10. Video Camera
11. Recording Devices
12. Two-Way Radio System
The following tools are also used by the Jax Ghostbusters Team, I have included some brief description of the tools and their uses. ELECTRO-MAGNETIC FIELD METERS
This is the most common device used by paranormal investigators today and is considered to be the most reliable. Electronic devices have been adapted to ghost hunting as a way to give confirmation of our instincts in the field. Investigators believe that ghosts, and paranormal energy, are electro-magnetic in origin. The energy that a ghost gives off, whether it be a conscious spirit or a residual image, causes a disruption in a location's magnetic field and thus, becomes detectable using measuring devices.
Now, we should also add that the equipment can also be influenced by things that aren't supernatural. You have to learn what the readings on the equipment mean and which readings are caused by natural sources.... and which are the real thing. It takes practice to use these devices NEVER go out on an investigation if you don't know how to use and read your equipment properly!
DIGITAL THERMAL SCANNER
This is another kind of electronic device that we recommend. This device can track down a ghostly, or paranormal, presence by taking instant readings from the air and detecting any changes in temperature that might be sudden or extreme. The device detects "cold spots" (unexplained temperature variances) that often signal that a ghost is present. The ghost uses the energy in that spot to manifest itself and in return, produces a cold mass. The ghost may be invisible to the naked eye but still detectable by these devices.
The devices are not fool-proof though, as many researchers are finding out. It should be noted that the scanners, when pointed and activated, take instant reading from small areas. The infrared beam must come into contact with something, which provides the temperature reading. If the scanner is simply pointed into the sky and activated, you will, of course, come up with extremely cold temperatures. Obviously, this does not mean that you are tracking down a ghost! Extreme caution must be taken when recording readings so that you don’t make these kinds of mistakes.
Compass: For those who cannot afford the electronic devices, the compass can be purchased in any sporting goods department in your area. It is believed that carrying one of these devices into a haunted location will direct you to the ghost or energy field and then spin while the field is present.
Feng Shui Luo Pan: Here is another device that has been around for thousands of years and is used by Feng Shui parctitioners. The practice of Yin Zhai Feng Shui, or Feng Shui for the dead is a complex system which is to lenghty to get into here. Suffice it to say that Dr. Conner who is a Feng Shui Practitioner has began to include Yin Zhai into the practice of Ghost Hunting with great results.
